If I had to use one word to sum up grief I would choose change. And most of us don’t like change, even when we ask for it, so change in the form of grief is always a big obstacle in our life journey. Supporting the grief journey with natural remedies is nourishing and nurturing to the soul.
When you are blinded by grief and you can’t view the world as you once saw it, there are no rules on what you will feel, what you should feel and what you should do. It’s about reconstructing the world into a shape that you never wanted to change in the first place.
And whether you are experiencing grief from losing a loved one, a relationship breakdown, the job you always loved or the dream that can be no longer, there are many, many resources to help as well as some pretty handy holistic remedies.

Natural Approaches to Grief
It goes without saying that counselling is really useful when going through grief. There are some really great people and resources out there. Find someone who you resonate with to support you. Grief Australia is a good place to start if you aren’t sure where to begin.
Accepting the feelings as they come up and expressing / releasing them is important. Don’t place any judgement on how and what you are feeling, just loving acceptance.
Get support from your family and friends and don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether that’s a friendly shoulder to cry on or a hot meal to keep you nourished.
Supporting the grief journey can be a very long process, so prioritise looking after yourself, physically, emotionally and mentally during this time. Go gently and be kind to yourself.
